For a long time, I felt like I was a mouse in the corner of the room. Growing up I was shy and afraid to speak my mind, I would always try and please others in order for them to like me and try and blend into the crowd so that I wouldn’t stand out.

I was bullied at school and this really knocked my confidence. Horrible things happen to nice people, sometimes we are too afraid to confront the situation or we live in hope that things will change. Sometimes we do confront the situation and don’t get the results that we had wished for.

If I dwell on every situation from my past I wouldn’t be who I am today. It can be hard but I have learned to accept what has happened, forgive and let go.

Do you know anyone that can you relate to this?

Kundalini yoga has really helped me along the way. It has made me connect to the pain and release the blocks that held me back for many years. I have found this new inner confidence that I never knew existed. And I really feel happy and content, with whom I have become.

I main thing I have learnt is that what I think of myself matters so much more than what other people think of me.

During my course, I will teach you transformational techniques from the Kundalini yoga tradition. Such as mindful breath. Dynamic postures for the body to move and release energetic blocks, as well as powerful uplifting mantras and meditation for the mind and soul. We finish off with a deep cosy relaxation, a time dedicated just for you to rest. (Don’t forget your fluffy blanket)

These traditional practices will energize you and help purify the mind and body. 

This course is designed for any ability as you are able to take it at your own pace. Even if you have never tried yoga before. We all have to start somewhere.

Do I need to be practising yoga before I come to your class?

No Kundalini Yoga is suitable for anyone unless your GP has advised you not to exercise. Everyone will have mixed abilities and range of movement, you are advised to go at your own pace and listen to your body.

Does it matter how old I am?
No, Kundalini yoga is suitable for any age, there are people still practising at the age of 90. Children over the age of 14 can attend with parent or guardian.

What do I wear?
Make sure you wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in, you need to make sure that it doesn’t restrict your movement. In Kundalini yoga we wear white to expand our aura. Feel free to experiment with what feels good to you.

What do I bring?
Yoga mat or towel, a bottle of water, small cushion if needed for sitting and a small blanket or shawl for relaxation. I have a limited number of spare mats if required.

Please note, do not eat a heavy meal before class, please allow 1 1/2 – 2 hours for food to digest.
